The original Old Fashioned Love Band from the Potteries
was very much part of the 1960’s jazz scene. Re-formed
in 2002, the current band have a mix of original and
new members, and are a must to see. Enjoyable!

Cotton City Jazzmen

Information
The Cotton City Jazzmen have links to the original band
of the 1950s, which was based on the style of the Armstrong
All Stars. Led and Managed by talented reedsman Barry
Aldous, with appearances the Band’s original trumpet
player, Doug Whaley, Cotton City will be sure to thrill
you.

Winston’s Pennine Jazz were formed in 2000 by
Keith Shone. His vision was to create a centre of musical
excellence that could provide a flexible response to
varying customer needs and different occasions, drawing
on a pool of talented musicians. The jazz world is indebted
to the effort.

Formed in 1999 originally for the purposes of a recording
commitment, but stayed together afterwards to become
a popular and very much ‘in demand’ outfit.
As leader, John has successfully managed and fronted
his Jazztet to date, thrilling audiences with a wide
range of musical offerings.

The band was formed in 2004 for a specific engagement
in St Helens, and as often happens when bands get together
in this way, they stayed together afterwards. They have
been entertaining and thrilling audiences since then,
mainly in the north west of England.

The Mike Carnie Band is an exciting line up that we
are sure will build a good following at Hyde Cricket
& Squash Club. Band leader Mike will take a regular
first Wednesday in the month slot at the Club, and bring
in special guests to play alongside members of his band.
